State university of new york (suny) cortland retained hastings+chivetta to design a student life center that creates a hub of physical and social recreation, as well as dining, on campus. This facility will house gymnasiums, training rooms, pool, exercise and workout facilities, locker rooms, classrooms, offices, an elevated running track. Suny cortland’s student life center will open to current students and current faculty and staff starting at 6 a.m.

The professional studies building, park center, lusk field house, the student life center, the stadium complex, athletic fields and tracks are located on the lower campus. Walking from the west campus of suny cortland to center campus can take about 20 to 30 minutes for some students. This project consists of a new 140,000 square foot student life center.
